According to the Daily Star, Morrison's sophomore release has been delayed and is his new priority for the next few months.
A source said: "James is hoping to hook up with some top-name producers on the album but unfortunately that’s what’s held the recording process up."
The singer was scheduled to perform headline gigs at Escot Sounds, Devon in July and Delamere Forest, Cheshire in June.
Morrison's last album Undiscovered, which featured the singles 'You Give Me Something' and 'Wonderful World', was released in 2006.
