The TV entertainer said that he was working with members of G-Unit in an attempt to bring a "sense of humour" to hip-hop.
Steve-O previously recorded a hip-hop track with Kool G Rap called 'Poke The Puss'.
Speaking to Carson Daly on US TV, he said: "Some producers of the G-Unit are collaborating with me for my new Universal Records comedy gangsta rap album.
"I’m the only guy dumb enough to try to give hip-hop a sense of humour."
The prankster, real name Stephen Glover, was placed on suicide watch last month after he emailed unusual videos of himself playing with a gun to friends.
