Kooks storm to top of albums chart

The indie foursome's sophomore record Konk shifted almost 66,000 copies in the last seven days to reach the top spot, surpassing the number three peak of their 2006 debut, Inside In/Inside Out.
Leona Lewis rose three places to two with Spirit on a shade over 36,000 sales to beat Carey's E=MC2, which settled for third on around 34,800 copies. Last week's number one, Duffy's Rockferry, slipped to four.
York rockers Elliot Minor enjoy a strong number six debut with their eponymous LP, while Sarah Brightman lands at 13 with Symphony.
