Legendary Aussie rockers AC/DC have confirmed that they are recording their first album in eight years.

The band announced on their official website that they were working on new material in Vancouver to be released later this year.

The Back in Black group are teaming up with producer Brendan O’Brien and audio engineer Mike Fraser on the new LP.

It will be the first record AC/DC have released since Stiff Upper Lip in 2000.

Earlier this year it was reported that the band were working on a record with the title Strap It On. The rumours were denied by the group at the time.
