The girl group played the JJB Arena at the summer bash two years ago and will return to play the main stage at this year's event.
However, Harding claimed that before they played the festival for the first time, she was incredibly nervous about how the audience would react to a pop band.
She told the Daily Star: "We didn't expect so many people wanting to see us last time - we thought we were gonna get stoned to death.
"It was really scary for me. I really didn't want to go but the crowds were really nice and loved it."
Also playing this year's V Festival are Amy Winehouse, Kings of Leon, Muse, The Verve, The Kooks, Stereophonics and Kaiser Chiefs.
