According to The Sun, billionaire Roman Abramovich has requested the group's services for his daughter Anna's 16th birthday party.
Sources suggested that the band may have been paid a large fee for the gig because keyboardist James Righton is a big fan of local rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
Brazilian dance act CSS are also being lined up to play the party.
Klaxons bassist Jamie Reynolds said after the Brit Awards in February that the band were planning to "disappear" in 2008 so they could work on their sophomore album away from the limelight.
