Wombats, Fratellis for Ibiza Rocks

The Wombats and The Fratellis are among the acts playing this year's Ibiza Rocks.

Also confirmed for the summer-long series of gigs are The Pigeon Detectives, We Are Scientists, Reverend and the Makers, Soulwax Nite Versions and Pendulum.

The Pigeon Detectives will kick things off on June 17, while Aussie drum & bass act Pendulum round off the event on September 9.

Tickets are currently on sale and include return transport to Bar M, San Antonio.

A selection of DJs including Rob Da Bank, Zane Lowe and Steve Aoki will also play the event.

Alongside the concerts there will be performances at the recently-launched Ibiza Rocks Hotel, which opens on May 31 with a gig from The Enemy.

Talking about the show, The Wombats said: "We're proper stoked about Ibiza Rocks: gonna take things fresh, soak up the sun, drink one shandy and perform some of our compositions live. Peace out."

Promoter Andy McKay commented: "We’re now in our fourth year and Ibiza Rocks is well established but this year there is an extra layer of energy and excitement.

"The opening of the Ibiza Rocks Hotel means we can offer live bands every night of the week. We are feeling quietly confident that the festival bar is going to be raised again."
