Mariah battles technical glitches on US TV

Mariah Carey became the victim of technical glitches live on US TV on Friday morning.

The singer took to the stage in Times Square, New York City to perform current single 'Touch My Body' on ABC breakfast show Good Morning America.

However, her backing track started before she ready to begin singing, forcing her to join the song a few bars in.

The backing track later began to skip, playing the first few bars of the song over and over again, but a relaxed-looking Carey managed to keep her cool and complete her performance.

She later joked with the audience that her rendition had been "a little creative", saying: "I try to bring something new to the moment every time."
