Last Shadow Puppets top albums chart

The Last Shadow Puppets - a collaboration between Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner and Miles Kane of The Rascals - have stormed to the top of the UK albums chart.

Their debut disc The Age of the Understatement pushes last week's number one, Konk by The Kooks, into second place.

It is the third number one debut for Turner, after both Arctic Monkeys albums topped the chart in their first week of release.

Elsewhere, Leona Lewis' multi-platinum Spirit collection slips a place to three, while Adele's 19 re-enters the top ten at eight.
