The indie rockers, who release their fourth LP Viva La Vida in June, will use the building to rehearse for their forthcoming live shows.
Singer Chris Martin believes the unattractive nature of the property will encourage the paparazzi to leave the band to their own devices.
He told NME: "I used to walk past it every day. For years I used to walk past it and think, 'What an ugly place'. Then, one day, a 'to let' sign appeared outside.
"I thought, 'Hmm, that place is so ugly, I bet no one would bother us if we move in there'. It's the first time we've had a proper band home since we were rehearsing in my student bedroom in 1999."
The band's new single 'Violet Hill' will be available to download from their website at 12.15pm today.
