The Swedish rockers said the unusual setting for the summer bash at Port Lympne Wild Animal Park has left them concerned about their setlist.
Singer Pelle Almqvist told NME: "We're a bit scared that the gorillas will start a riot if we don't play the right songs.
"We've never played a zoo before you know? Once we played at a festival in [hometown of] Fagersta in a field and there were cows there.
"Did they like our music? Well cows are pretty chilled out generally aren't they? So yes, I think so."
Zoo Thousand And Eight takes place on July 4-6. Other acts confirmed for the event include Mark Ronson, Dizzee Rascal, Delays, Ash, Gallows, The Cribs, British Sea Power, The Young Knives and Funeral For A Friend.
