The 'Hooray' band said that they got in trouble with a bunch of thugs on the way to last year's V Festival.
Keyboard player Aaron Gilbert told Popjustice: "We actually got into a fight on the way to V last year.
"I accidentally - accidentally - smashed a load of bottles in a shop, and there were five guys who appeared with what can only be described as baseball bats.
"I picked up a Ginsters and we had a fight."
Delays release their new album Everything's the Rush on May 5.
