Whitesnake singer David Coverdale has claimed that a Led Zeppelin world tour is "very likely".

The veteran rocker said he was expecting to get a call from guitarist Jimmy Page about supporting the band very soon.

"Am I on board? You bet," Coverdale told The Mirror. "Probably worth billions!

"Unlike rolling out the wheelchairs with the umpteenth Rolling Stones world tour, a Led Zeppelin tour will be incredible."

Led Zeppelin previously claimed that their reunion show at the O2 arena in December was a one-off. However it is rumoured they could make £10 million each if they complete a world tour.

"A couple of months ago, it looked unlikely because Robert [Plant, singer] was against the idea," said a source.

"But now it looks almost certain. It would either be at the end of this year or early 2009."
