Bowman seriously injured his leg during the band's fourth song in Maidstone but soldiered on to complete the set.
The singer was rushed to hospital where doctors intended to operate immediately. After further advice Bowman was transferred to Leeds, where he is now being treated.
The Pigeon Detectives will rearrange dates in Dublin (May 13) and Belfast (May 14) and, if Bowman makes a quick recovery, will resume their tour in Glasgow on May 17.
The band's new single 'This Is An Emergency' is released today.
