Hoosiers dismiss copycat claims

Many critics have pointed out the similarity between the two songs, with DS's reviewer describing 'Cops and Robbers' as "too indebted to 'The Love Cats' to be taken seriously".
However, Hoosiers frontman Irwin Sparkes played down the likeness, saying the songs merely share "swingin' basslines and a similar groove".
"Chorus-wise it's very different," he insisted. "The sung melody is so far removed [from 'The Love Cats']."
