Published Tuesday, May 13 2008, 10:29 BST | By Neil Wilkes

Scooter sail straight to the summit with their 13th studio album, Jumping All Over The World, pushing Madonna's Hard Candy into second place. The group - a three-piece from Hamburg - previously enjoyed a UK hit with 'Ramp! (The Logical Song)', which reached number two in the singles chart six years ago.
Other new entries include Def Leppard, with Songs From The Sparkle Lounge at ten, and Hadouken!, who manage a respectable number twelve debut with Music for an Accelerated Culture.
