The Manchester-born model teamed up with American duo Alanna Masterson and Jackson Pollis at the Coachella Festival to demo some tracks.
Deyn, who said she started learning guitar several years ago, revealed that the band's main influences were groups like The Vaselines, The Moldy Peaches and Animal Collective.
"We've got three or four songs. We wrote a really cool song at Coachella actually, which was exciting," she told NME.
"It's called 'Hotel'. We wrote another one called 'Yellow Tights'. I started playing guitar a few years ago and I'm not Jimi Hendrix or anything, but it's relaxing to play some music."
She added: "People are going to say, 'You're a model', but I think you should do things that make you happy. To do other things aside from what you do is really satisfying and fun."
