The music mogul was a fan of Shaky during his '80s heyday and is keen to watch the veteran rocker in action at the event in June.
A source said: "Simon has always respected anyone's ability to achieve commercial music success. In the '80s, no one was better than Shakin' Stevens."
Stevens said he was not surprised by the news, telling the Daily Star: "We were great friends. Simon loved all the stuff I was making at the time."
