The pop band parted ways with their old record company Island following the release of their Greatest Hits last year.
Singer Tom Fletcher claimed the group's new LP wouldn't be polished or altered by their label like their last three records.
"When we recorded our albums before they’d always come back sounding miles different from what we wanted. We’d write lyrics and be told to change them," said Fletcher.
Harry Judd added: "We’ve got closet fans and I think now they won’t be so ashamed to admit they like us."
According to The Sun, the new songs make the group sound like "full-blooded, ballsy rockers".
