The former A Tribe Called Quest rapper revealed that Obama would appear on his first studio LP in nine years.
Other stars guesting on the record include D'Angelo, Norah Jones and Raphael Saadiq, reports The Guardian.
Speaking about the album, Q-Tip said: "I've got Norah Jones on there, but Barack is the big one. You'll see what happens, I can't reveal too much."
Regular Radiohead collaborator Nigel Godrich helped produce the album. "He's a big fan of rap," said Q-Tip. "[He's] really dope. It'll be cool working with him."
Q-Tip's last album was 1999's Amplified, which featured singles 'Vivrant Thing' and 'Breathe & Stop'.
