Drummer Andy Burrows said the group were "all incredibly excited" by the work they had completed on their new LP.
He told BBC 6 Music: "The day job is going very well, yeah. Very busy with this album and just all really hoping that it comes out this year so that we can get out and tour it."
The band's self-titled sophomore album was released in July 2006.
Burrows is currently promoting his debut solo record The Colour Of My Dreams. The 16-minute album is being used to raise funds for Naomi House Children's Hospice.
