The singer confirmed that he is currently working on material for his first release, which will come out after he's finished promoting his band's forthcoming Here We Stand LP.
"I'm thinking I'll probably release a solo album after we finish touring this new album," Lawler told the Daily Star.
The 29-year-old added: "It's not a big deal, just something to keep me busy."
The Fratellis' new single 'Mistress Mabel' is out now. Here We Stand is released on June 9.
