Muse have said that they are planning a "big collaboration" for their performance at this year's V Festival.

The band headline the V Stage at this year's bash, which will take place on August 16 to 17.

Speaking about the festival, drummer Dom Howard told the Daily Star: "We are looking into a big collaboration for V but we need to see if it'll work out first.

"We're doing some shows in Europe and South America but you really have to step it up at a festival.

"Even though we have a good live reputation we put a lot of thought and planning into our shows."

Other acts on the bill for V include Stereophonics, The Kooks, The Prodigy, Duffy, Shed Seven, Amy Winehouse, The Verve and The Zutons. All tickets are sold out.
