Beyoncé's sister was preparing to go on stage in Missouri on Sunday to perform tracks from her Sol-Angel album when she was struck by a piece of falling metal.
A representative for the 21-year-old released the following statement: "As Solange entered the stage in Kansas City, a large piece of metal fell from the doorway and on to her foot, breaking it.
"Ms. Knowles continued to head out to the stage and performed her full set while in extreme pain. Immediately following her performance, she was rushed to the hospital where she learned her foot was indeed broken."
Knowles will complete the rest of the Art Of Love tour, which sees her opening for Chrisette Michelle and Raheem Devaughn, with her foot in a cast.
