Rihanna: 'Disturbia'

By
Rihanna: 'Disturbia'
Released on Wednesday, Sep 24 2008

Let's be honest, Rihanna could cover Steps' '5,6,7,8' on the penny whistle and she'd probably still reach No.1 at the moment. If the Barbadian beauty so much as gets a haircut, she's front page news. She's so blinking hot right now that she can even duet with sterile trad-rockers Maroon 5 without losing her credibility. Quite frankly, it's a little bit astounding.

As the seventh release from her colossal Good Girl Gone Bad LP, 'Disturbia' should by rights be a plodding, predictable piece of filler. Amazingly, this isn't the case. Probably one of her strongest releases, 'Disturbia' is a fun-packed electro treat filled with sizzling beats and crazy vocal effects. If the "bum-bum be-dum bum-bum de-bum bum" intro doesn't hook you, her catchiest chorus since 'Umbrella' will surely do the trick. An impressive release that proves Rihanna is ruling '08 much like she did '07.
