Alexandra Burke: 'Broken Heels'

Alexandra Burke: 'Broken Heels'
Released on Monday, Jan 18 2010

Crikey, have you seen the 'Broken Heels' video? Alexandra girl, we really know what you like now. Tum-flashing, bum-wiggling, an outfit you'd need talcum powder to wear comfortably... after yesterday's slap round the chops, Simon Cowell might want to send an email titled "offcuts" to video_editing@syco.com if he needs something to raise his, ahem, spirits.

Fortunately, the song itself is strong enough to compete with the eye-popping visuals. Produced by RedOne – and yes, are we informed as such at the start – it's a rubber-bottomed pop stomper with loads of "heyeyey" and "oh-oh-oh-oh" hooks, a good-natured girl power message and more sass than a drag queen who's just been told (s)he doesn't meet the dress code. The result? Yet more evidence that Alexandra Burke is turning into a cracking - no pun intended - little popstar.
