McLean: 'Finally In Love'

By
McLean 'Finally In Love'
Released on Monday, Jun 14 2010

Having bagged his first top ten hit with March's 'My Name', McLean found himself at the same crossroads trodden by many artists before him. Should he risk showing the public another side of his musical identity - or should he stick to the sound of his breakthrough in a bid to secure further chart success? In this instance, it seems he well and truly chose the latter.

Much like its predecessor, 'Finally In Love' is a slick R&B ballad with lyrics as sentimental as the ending of a Richard Curtis film ("I'm finally in love / And I wanna feel this good for the rest of my life"). Fraser T Smith's synthy production keeps things well within the confines of McLean's Brit R&B contemporaries, while a generous smattering of "hey"s and "ooh"s ensures it falls just the right side of catchy. Oh, and be sure to check out the video to see what Kylie from 'Enders is up to these days.
