Swedish House Mafia: 'One (Your Name)'

Swedish House Mafia 'One'
Released on Monday, Jul 26 2010

Swedish House Mafia sounds like a cheapo Changing Rooms knock-off airing on Living TV - complete with lucrative Ikea tie-in, of course - but it's actually a collaboration between three Scando DJ/producer types: Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian "He did 'Cupid Boy' on the new Kylie album you know..." Ingrosso.

Too many cooks? On the evidence of this debut single, quite the opposite. 'One (Your Name)' is a booming electro-housey club banger boasting an ear-snaggingly simple synth line, trancey whooshes aplenty and cred-boosting vocals from Neptunes star Pharrell Williams. Like a big old bowlful of mamma's home-made Swedish meatballs, it's neither original nor refined, but boy does it hit the spot.
