Nero: 'Guilt'

By
Nero 'Guilt'
Released on Sunday, Apr 24 2011

If Chinese-style musical calendars existed, 2011 would be known as 'Year of the Dubstep', as charts across the globe are slowly but surely being infiltrated by wobbly, pulsating basslines. Keen to make the most out this musical revolution are London-based dubstep duo Nero, who, after nabbing a top 15 hit with 'Me And You' earlier in the year, have returned with another speaker-blowing tune in the form of 'Guilt'.

"You keep on talking but it make no sense at all/ You try to fake it but you're breaking every rule," sings their staff vocalist Alana Watson over a booming reverb and rapturous synth combo that packs more punch than a Mike Tyson K.O. The result? A euphoric outburst of sound that will not only pump the crowds at this year's summer festivals, but like label bosses Chase & Status, should keep the dub-pop train ploughing on at full steam.
