JoJo 'Disaster'
There can't be many things more frustrating for a popstar than having the release of your album pushed back. Spare a thought for JoJo then, who has been waiting (not so patiently) since 2009 to put out her third studio album Jumping Trains. All signs are finally pointing towards a spring release, but with the bulk of the material recorded almost three years ago, will it sound fresh enough for today's charts?

Fortunately, she doesn't have to worry about such an issue, as those familiar with her most notable hits 'Leave (Get Out)' and 'Too Little Too Late' will know that she's honed a sound that will never go out of fashion: the power-pop anthem. "The walls burned up and our love fell down," she belts over airy guitars and fist-clenching, stadium ready beats Kelly Clarkson wouldn't cock a snook at. The result is exactly as you'd expect, and it's all the better for it.
