"They gave me this tablet that you put in water… more on the holistic side… And soon as I took it - it was a burst of energy," Pharrell recently said of his time in the studio with Daft Punk. "But by the time I got back on the plane to America, I forgot everything." It has become part of the canon that the French duo are highly secretive when working on a new project, but altering their collaborator's memories is a bit on the extreme side - even for them.

Nonetheless, it produced 'Get Lucky', the first track lifted from their eagerly-anticipated new album. "She's up all night 'til the sun/ I'm up all night to get some/ She's up all night for good fun/ I'm up all night to get lucky," Pharrell croons over slick guitar riffs courtesy of Nile Rodgers and funk-drenched bass, perfect for a sun-kissed Los Angeles evening. Daft Punk's creative methods may be unorthodox, but the final result is a legal rush we can all enjoy - and one we won't be forgetting anytime soon.
