The Aussie popstar is said to be teaming up with the Freemasons, who have previously worked with her sister Kylie.
The rumours follow criticism of Minogue's judging credentials and an on-air row with Louis Walsh which reduced her to tears on the ITV1 talent show this year.
A source told New! magazine: "Dannii is sick of the sniping, and seeing Cheryl Cole balance her singing and judging career for the past few months has made her more determined than ever before."
Another insider added: "If it goes well, she may tour and even get way too busy to endure the insults from Louis Walsh."
Minogue's most successful release to date has been 'I Begin To Wonder', which reached number two in the UK chart in 2003. However, her most recent single 'Touch Me Like That' peaked at number 48 last year.
