The X Factor winner insisted that he was not personally responsible for the cutbacks, which have resulted in his 16-date jaunt dropping to just nine gigs.
Writing on his Bebo page, Jackson explained: "I want to make clear that I haven't personally pulled out of any gigs, and that it was my management and tour promoter's decision to cancel the many shows."
The news comes just weeks after the 20-year-old Scot was dropped by Sony following disappointing sales of his debut album Right Now.
"I am very disappointed, more so for you guys' sake as I am aware that many people have already booked travel and accommodation and also were simply looking forward to it, as was I," Jackson continued.
"All I can say is that I'm truly sorry and I am furious that this has not been officially explained to you guys. Sorry for the inconvenience, I'm gonna have to keep my head up and get on with it as usual, but I hope you can all stick by me as you have always done."
Though the star's Edinburgh Festival Hall concert has been cancelled, his remaining Scottish gigs will go ahead. He is also expected to perform at Ipswich Regent Theatre and Birmingham Symphony Hall as planned.
