Dolly Rockers 'put X Factor behind them'

The all-girl trio made it to the boot camp phase of the reality talent contest in 2006 but told The Times that they are not interested in exploiting their connection to the show.
Lucie Kay said: "We were personally told by [Sharon Osbourne] in the toilets that if we played on the 'cutesy' thing, then girls wouldn't feel threatened by us.
"A lot of people who have been on X Factor try to capitalise on the connection. We're trying to put it behind us. We had to demanufacture ourselves."
Producer Ray Hedges said: "The last thing I wanted to do was work with X Factor rejects, but they literally appeared at my door talking like delirious people.
"Their rawness and loudness was so natural, it was just a matter of getting them to be themselves on the records."
