The company is in discussions to release Quigg after disappointing sales of his self-titled debut album, Star reports.
Fellow X Factor contestant Daniel Evans told DS that he sympathised with Quigg and that the young singer did not make a mistake in working with a major label.
Evans said: "You're not going to turn the chance down. The same if they knocked on my door, I'd bite their hand off, definitely!
"After that, you don't know what's going to happen, but if someone in the business offers you chances like that, you have to take it."
He added: "There's no reason why he can't do another album and make it better. He's only young remember, he's got years ahead of him and he can learn from that.
"I'm sure if he does another album that he'll make sure he has more control. That's life, you live and you learn."
Evans is currently recording his own debut independent release in a studio in North Wales.
