Vickers 'chuffed' to play Birmingham gig

Diana Vickers has been booked to perform at a shopping mall in Birmingham.

The former X Factor contestant will sing alongside local Talent 2009 competitors at the Fort Shopping Park in the city on August 1, diana-vickers.com reports.

Vickers said: "I feel really chuffed that I've been asked to perform at The Fort Shopping Park - it'll be great to get back to Birmingham - it's buzzing!

"I love the people and the accent. It's a really cool city where I often go shopping and spend, spend, spend!"

Other performances lined up for the singer include a show at Hamilton Park Race Course with fellow X Factor competitors Ruth Lorenzo and JLS on July 11.
