JLS have rubbished criticism by N-Dubz rapper Dappy that they are a manufactured band.
The 'Beat Again' four-piece, who were runners-up on The X Factor last year, insisted that they formed as a group before auditioning for the ITV1 show.
"You've seen our story on the show, I don't know whether Dappy has seen it or not, but it's inconsequential," singer Jonathan 'JB' Gill told DS.
"We've been working hard at what we are doing and it's all love at the end of the day. We're not manufactured, Oritsé put the group together a couple years ago."
The boyband, who scooped two gongs at the MOBO Awards last week, admitted that they were overwhelmed with their recent success.
"We're on top of the world at the moment, it's absolutely incredible. To be recognised for such recent achievements is an absolute amazing thing," Oritsé said.
