The 21-year-old revealed that she has started a competition with the Irish twins after meeting them last weekend.
"They were great. When I saw them I was like, 'Come on boys, copyright. Cough up'," she told the Daily Star.
"I really think they're brilliant and we're having a competition for the biggest quiff."
The star went on to claim that The X Factor has a negative impact on the music industry and new artists.
"I refuse to watch The X Factor," she said. "I have a massive problem with the show - but not the actual contestants.
"I just know what it does to people in the industry. It totally overshadows new artists who have been struggling for years writing their own albums and playing in bars.
"Then someone comes along who has sung on a show for two weeks and gets a No. 1."
La Roux released new single 'Quicksand' last month.
