The former X Factor contestant is currently starring in the West End production of Jim Cartwright's The Rise And Fall Of Little Voice but is also recording tracks for her first LP, which is due for a March 2010 release.
Writing on her official blog last week, Vickers said: "I had my first photoshoot for the album - it was amazing! Lee Broomfield, the photographer is totally fantastic so l was really chuffed to be working with him (even after 12 hours of standing in heels!).
"Haha, it was so much fun though! All the clothes were amazing - I was like a kid in a dolls shop. It really kicked in, like OMG - this is my album! Now I just cant wait to see everything from the shoot."
She added: "I've had meetings with my PR company to get a plan together and then have been in the recording studio twice this week, working on a couple of new songs. Today I was with Starsmith doing some last touches!"
Vickers has reportedly collaborated with Cass Lowe, Chris Braide, Nerina Pallot and Savan Kotecha on the record.
