In a video posted on his official website, Murs announced the details about the track he has co-written.
The X Factor 2009 runner-up revealed that 'Please Don't Let Me Go' will be digitally and physically released on August 28 and August 29 respectively.
"I'm very much looking forward to that because I'm going to be going to the shop to buy it myself."
The 26-year-old described it as a "summery" song. It has previously been reported that the track sounds like a mixture of Lily Allen, Paolo Nutini and UB40.
