According to the Daily Star, the military group will release the single to raise money for Help for Heroes.
Simon Cowell was reportedly happy to hear about the new competition. He said: "Everyone is going to have a pop this year. I'd be disappointed if they didn't. I say, 'Bring it on.'"
The X Factor finalists will be releasing a cover of David Bowie's 'Heroes' - also for the Help for Heroes charity - on November 25.
