Jedward confirmed for Eurovision shortlist

X Factor twins John and Edward have been confirmed for the Irish Eurovision shortlist.

The Grimes brothers, who are managed by Louis Walsh, will compete with four other acts in Eurosong and the right to represent Ireland in Dusseldorf later this year.

Other acts competing for the title will be Nikki Kavanagh and The Vard Sisters. Don Mescall and a new EMI quartet are rumoured to complete the shortlist, according to ESC Daily.

All five acts will be trained by music industry professionals before performing on The Late Late Show. The winner will be selected by a combination of judges and televoting.
