The singer, who was said to have agreed a deal with Simon Cowell's label Syco along with the three other X Factor finalists, has now signed a joint contract with Epic Records, The Sun reports.
Both companies are a sub division of label giant Sony, whose roster includes Britney Spears and Kings Of Leon.
Ferguson is the third former X Factor act to agree a similar contract, after JLS and Olly Murs both signed a joint agreement with both labels.
The newspaper reports that the team are currently searching out soul songs similar to the sound of Duffy or Corinne Bailey Rae for her debut record.
