Waissel revealed that she is currently putting a band together and working on her first LP of new material post-The X Factor.
"I've definitely got some rock 'n' roll up my sleeves. I'm excited to put a band together. Without saying too much, there's a lot to be excited about at the end of this year. I'm very excited," she said at the WTA pre-Wimbledon party at Kensington Roof Gardens.
"The new stuff is dirty, sexy, rock 'n' roll. You can hear it as soon as I can possibly get it out there. All the Waissel Warriors and people who have believed in me, I won't let you down. This one is for them!"
Joking about what she will do when the X Factor is on this year, Waissel laughed: "I'm looking forward to spending my Saturday nights with my feet up thinking, 'thank God I don't have to do it again'."
