'X Factor' restricted me, says Jamie 'Afro' Archer as he confirms tour

Jamie 'Afro' Archer has announced the first tour dates for his band Archer.
The former X Factor singer and his bandmates give a full release to debut single 'Insanity' on October 3.
Backed by Anthony Reed on lead guitar and brother Stephen Archer on drums, Archer play a full UK and Ireland tour in September. Tickets are available now.

Jamie Archer said: "I am really excited about getting the band together and finally being out there on the road performing our new material. We have spent the last six months writing and recording which has been an incredible experience.
"Appearing on X Factor was an amazing experience for me and was always part of the bigger plan for forming my own band by gaining that invaluable TV exposure. The British public following The X Factor were a phenomenal support throughout my time on the show."

He added: "However, there were times on The X Factor where I felt restricted in the songs I could perform and which suited my vocal range and style.
"With my new band Archer, I am really excited to be getting out there and finally performing in the style of music that I feel best suits my character and personality."
