The 'Run For Your Life' star has said that he was not a fan of all of the tracks he performed on his way to the 2010 title.
Cardle told Look: "I massively compromised myself for X Factor.
"I wore yellow trousers and sang Katy Perry's 'Firework' for f**k's sake!' Singing pop songs without my guitar and covered in make-up didn't sit right."
He added: "I hear people in the street saying, 'There's the guy that won X Factor'. I can't wait for that to just disappear."
Cardle recently claimed that he "battered the hell" out of his "integrity" during his time on the reality talent contest.
He later admitted that he was happy not to be forced to work with pop producers like RedOne and Stargate after his X Factor victory.
Of the £1 million record contract he received for winning the show, Cardle said: "When I got the record deal I got an advance to keep me housed and fed while making my album. The million pound thing, that's just for TV."
