Exclusive: Florence + the Machine: 'I'd like to perform on The X Factor'

Florence + the Machine has revealed that she would perform on this year's X Factor if she was asked.

The singer - real name Florence Welch - admitted that she is "curious" to see what the show is like behind the scenes.

In an interview with Digital Spy, she said: "I've only seen a couple of episodes this series but I'm really enjoying it. It would be a real experience to perform on that show.

"I'm one of those people that is up for most things. When I was offered to sing at the Oscars I was like, 'Yeah, I want to know what that's like!' I'm always curious to know what things are like - as long as you're not compromising who you are."

She added: "I'd definitely be keen to step into that world and explore it without getting too involved."

Welch recently claimed that she is keen to collaborate with rapper Drake.

Her new album Ceremonials is released today.
