The X Factor winner has already achieved the title of biggest selling download of 2006, with 'A Moment Like This' surpassing Gnarls Barkley's 'Crazy'.
The single has been available for download since Monday morning, but was only released as a hard copy today. It looks likely that Lewis will outdo the sales last year's competition winner Shayne Ward.
"Leona should match, if not overtake Shayne Ward's sales," predicted Gennaro Castaldo of HMV. "Nearly five million votes were cast for her in the [X Factor] final, and you have to assume a good proportion of those viewers will buy the single."
Take That's current number one, 'Patience', will likely fall only one place, with Mcfly tipped for the third place as they release the double A-side 'Sorry's Not Good Enough/Friday Night'.
