The singer was crowned the winner of The X Factor 2012 on Sunday evening (December 9), but the US rapper has allegedly shown interest in helping him with his debut album.
"Jay-Z is a keen spotter of British talent and is already involved with Rita Ora and K Koke, and worked with Tinchy Stryder and Sugababes too," a source told the Daily Star.
"He is convinced James can follow One Direction's lead and break into the American market."
They added: "Jay knows what kind of music James should be making and that's gritty and edgy. He feels his team could master an album of worldwide hits."
Since winning the show, Arthur's winner's single 'Impossible' has become the fastest-selling in the show's history after shifting 187,000 downloads during its first 24 hours.
