The singer said she would "definitely consider" a spot on the show if she were asked by Simon Cowell.
"Once was definitely not enough, it gave me a taste for it," she told Digital Spy.
"If the opportunity came about I would love it - to go out there and find the next music star would be a fantastic experience. If Simon asked I would definitely consider it. It would be an honour."
She added: "Can I just say though, Louis ain't going anywhere!"
Burke previously stood in for Kelly Rowland once during the 2011 series, where she trended worldwide on Twitter for using the phrase: "OK.com."
The star recently teased that her third studio album will be "inspired by the greats", adding: "This new album is very different - I'm listening to Aretha, Gladys Knight, Billie Holiday."
